The running joke on bookstagram is if Riley Sager writes it I’m reading it and that couldn’t be more true… He has quickly become one of my favorite authors. This is a thrilling, edge-of-your-seat ride from start to finish! The shocking ending was something I absolutely did not see coming—I loved how the book was told through a first-person POV, which really allowed me to connect with the protagonist and feel the tension in every moment.

The dual timelines kept the suspense high, as each layer of the story unfolded in unexpected ways.
The atmosphere of the story was so creepy, with the old apartment building feeling like a character in its own right. I was constantly questioning whether it was haunted or just…REALLY unsettling. The setting reminded me a lot of Rosemary’s Baby, the real life Cecil Hotel with some American Horror Story: Hotel season.
