He climbs through her window in a three-piece suit. Should I say more I mean, I really don’t know.

Since the start of the series, I’ve been super excited to read Sloane and Lucian story and this book did it justice.

Everything starting from the plot line to their relationship and how it evolves was just perfect on paper. This is my favorite book in the entire series.

Lucian Rollins is my new favorite fictional character, and he can do no wrong in my eyes and I love Sloane’s quirky sunshine attitude in compared to his grumpy, damaged personality.

This is childhood friends to enemies to lovers which is like a full circle plot and it’s just perfectly written and well thought out. The story in itself is very interesting because it centers around a major plot that happens throughout the three books a sense of mystery in it as well coupled with the romance, and it’s just the perfect balance and gives a sense of comfort read, but at the same time very entertaining.

We also see on the sidelines and another story that is expanding which again is very interesting because this is the first time that I have come across something like that.

Much like I’ve said earlier I have no idea why I kept this seated on my shelf for so longif you do have it then I suggest you immediately read it right now. It will not disappoint.

2.5 of 5 ✨

at 70% i was thinking ‘how many pages does this book have?’
anyway it was a nice reading, just too dumb
also
too much smut
lighthearted relaxing slow-paced

The pacing of this book was terrible. I went through 5 stages of grief with this book and nearly cried when it was finally over. I had such high hopes for Sloane and Lucians love story but it was 200 pages to long. I felt nothing towards their romance (didn’t even realise that they had officially gotten together). Especially as there was so little nicety’s said about each other even in their own POVs (in their minds) and their little 3rd act break up (if you can even call it that) was so dull and just like their regular convos leaving a boring taste. The only part I liked was the convo of them talking about their past truthfully with Emry (the therapist) it was the only part that made me feel connected to them as a couple.

This entire series was far too long, but I did have a lot of fun reading it! I always love a friends to enemies to lovers book. The tension, the drama! Lucian was kind of a lot for me - a truly ridiculous man who took himself far too seriously but I still had a good time. I was also pleasantly surprised with how this book dealt with grief.

By far my favorite of the series 😍

When starting this series, this is the one I was most excited to read because of all the good things I heard about it. This one tied a pretty bow on all things Knockemout.

This book was perfectly paced and I wanted to keep reading to know all about Lucian and Sloane. Because of their history, we get flashbacks to their adolescences and it builds on so much of the tension we have been seeing from these two in the other books. The two finally get their happy ending, which of course, is all we could ever ask for them.

Tropes:
* Friends to enemies to lovers
* Billionaire romance
* Small town romance
