This book was somewhat good, but ultimately pretty boring. I'd always had it in my head that this would concern a race around the world, but it's actually a bet that one man can't do it. So we just follow Fogg and his journey around the world in 80 days. There's also a detective, Fix, who's following him, attempting to arrest him under the belief of a bank robbery. Lots happens along the way and I was amazed that Fogg could actually complete the journey with all the roadblocks he encountered.

A fun adventure book that takes the reader on a literal trip around the world, but doesn’t stay in these places long enough for the reader to get a good sense of the culture and history of each exotic location.
Whilst an adaption this version includes all the major plot points, but is missing some of the nuances to that make the story believable and exciting. A good intro to the classic for younger readers.

I really enjoyed this! At each moment when the goal seems lost, something happens to change their luck, all the way up until the end.
