The prose in these books is often abysmal, but the characterization has surprising depth, and unlike certain other revered fantasy epics (Wheel of Time), I am not mad that I purchased them and was perfectly happy to read the whole series.

I enjoyed the wrap up, it didn't flow be away but it wasn't the weakest in the trilogy for me, so I call that a win. I'm glad I read these, the writing is fine, but the world is really interesting and the characters are fantastic!

Classic. I was obsessed with these in middle school.

I liked this one the best of the 3 I think, though I also found it the hardest to follow

The unbalanced conclusion of the first trilogy of the Dragonlance world.

While its a good introduction to the Fantasy genre, it misses some of the charm from the first two.

It felt like one of those forced now-everything-has-to-come-to-a-conclusion third books of a trilogy.

I read this as a kid when it was first published. This series of books is what made me fall in love with reading. When deciding to revisit it for the first time I was trepidatious. But it holds up remarkably well.
