Challenged By You is the fifth book in the Love in the City series by Steph Nuss. I have really enjoyed each book in the series, and I couldn't wait to finally get Paige's story. This book was such an emotional read, and I could not put it down! I have to say that the last book in the series is my favorite, but Challenged By You might just be my new favorite.
Paige and Drake had the perfect relationship, until everything changed in an instant. When Drake headed to college, he left Paige behind at their high school for another year never knowing that he was leaving behind more than just the girl he loved. Years have passed without them speaking, but when they are suddenly forced back together they both realize that the past has a way of holding onto you. Drake is determined to get Paige back, but Paige is holding a secret that could change everything when revealed.
I loved these characters, and I felt emotionally invested in them right away. Paige is known in the past books for being a bit uptight and straight-laced. But in her past she was quite different, and I really enjoyed getting to know that side of her. So much had happened, and it wasn't hard to see how she had turned into the woman that she was. The one thing that had never changed though were the feelings between Drake and Paige. Drake had thought he was doing the right thing by letting Paige go, but years later he knew it was a mistake and the biggest regret of his life. Luckily for them both, the chemistry and connection was just as strong as it had always been and they were able to move forward after everything had happened.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book, just as I have with every other book in the series. Steph Nuss is a fantastic writer and I really love her stories. This series is filled with sweet and sexy times, love, friendship and tons of emotion. It is one of my favorite series, and I think fans of both the contemporary and new adult genres will love them. If you haven't read these yet, you are definitely missing out and I highly recommend giving them a go.

This has been one that I have been waiting for- Paige's story. She was the mystery of the group, and we get to know her and Drake- her high school boyfriend- in this book. I loved this plot, and while I found some of the situations didn't seem to be how people would react, they all added to the storyline.
Definitely a great book!
I'm hoping that Cash is the next story!!!

Be prepared to fall hard in love with this couple.
This has become my favorite book in this series by Author Steph Nuss!
Paige & Drake had my heart breaking for them!
Their love story totally hit me hard.
Seriously these two characters show us what it is to LOVE hardcore no matter what happens in life. And your love is not always what you think or thought it was.
Just wow! I was aching, crying, falling then climbing with emotions reading their story. Just beautifully done.
And of course the whole gang are back and sooo having me crack up with their smart mouths and antics! Also loved how they are there for each other and such a tight knit of friends.
The guys had me cracking up with their baby skills or lack thereof!
Get this book because it is full of characters that you will fall in love with and that will stick with you for a lifetime.
This book can be read as a standalone like the rest in the series.

OMG! By far my FAVORITE! I loved the whole series buy this one....this one hands down blew me away!
Challenged by you is the story of Paige and Drake! Their story is so intense! The minute I started the prologue I was reeled in. I would walk away to tend to my family or get things done and ended up right back in the story.
Paige and Drake's love and their story ripped my heart out, made me laugh and also pieced it back together glowing! I refuse to give an inkling of the story in this review because it needs to be read and treasured with every word, line, and paragraph of their story! DEFINITE MUST READ. I will feel sorry for anyone that does not pick Challenged by You up and experience the feels of it! Bravo to Steph Nuss for an AMAZING series! I can not wait to continue the journey with Love

I'm such a fan of Steph Nuss' writing style and the entire Love in the City series but Steph KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK with Challenged By You!!
I love that Steph has such a specific writing style and it has stayed constant throughout the series but I feel like us readers got so much more of the talent and heart that she has to offer.
Paige's story is heart wrenching and tore my heart from my chest but mended it completely by the end. When I originally read the prologue I was like "oh great another one of those stories. I think the ball might be dropped on this one." IM SO GLAD I WAS WRONG!!
The way Steph developed Paige's character from prologue to chapter 1 and from chapter 1 to the end was absolutely flawless. And just the raw feelings that shined through each of the characters, whether major or minor, were executed in a way that I never questioned if they were authentic, they just were. From start to end.
Steph Nuss you continue to wow us with your great work and I appreciate your commitment to us fans who have fallen in love with this series❤️

The most important thing you should know about this book when it comes to me: I picked this book up at 10:00 pm and didn't put it down again until 2:30 am. I could not put it down, I could not walk away. Challenged by You is a highly emotional read, heart breaking, sweet, redeeming, beautiful. Challenged by You is also because of those reasons a heard book to review. I can't tell you too much because so much of it revolves around a secret that is the basis of the story and would be an absolute spoiler, which I refuse to do, if I gave any hint about it.
If you have read any of the Love in the City series before this one you know Paige and I think like me you have always been a bit 'turned-off' by Paige. She's always been a bit cold, a bit harsh but I can promise you in this book you will see her in a completely new light. You will understand her and it will both lift you up and break your heart. She isn't the woman we all think she is and the past that has made her this way, well...just get your tissue ready. Drake, he is the epitome of a Steph Nuss Hero, he's kind, he's thoughtful, he's romantic, he's handsome but not overly cocky about it. She writes guys that we don't often see if Contemporary Romances, they aren't bad boys that have to be reformed, they aren't jerks that are so incredibly hot and wealthy that the Heroine just can't help but fall in love. They aren't the guy that you constantly want to strangled, or the guys who talk in grunts and half sentences yet expect to be completely understood by the women they are attached to. Steph's Heroes are oddly and refreshingly 'regular' guys that you just love because that is what they are, lovable.
Challenged by You is one of those stories that will remain with you for a long time. It is going to burrow into your heart, break it just a little, and make it swell with love. Steph Nuss tackles a difficult topic in this book and she does it beautifully. I will say that this book could be a trigger for some people, I know from personal experience of my own (though not of quite the same vein) that it could be more than a little emotionally difficult to read for some. I don't want to tell you what the issue is but if you are concerned about any triggers I would be happy to privately tell you what the issue is. On that same note, don't be afraid of this book, it is truly a beautiful book. Yes Challenged by You is a bottle of wine and a box of tissue kind of read, but it is wonderfully written, the characters well fleshed out and ones that you will root for. You will also get a glimpse back at past characters which is always a wonderful thing, I always miss series characters once we move past their own books. You can totally read this book without having read the others, it is a standalone within the series, but like I mentioned above you will see past characters and as you will have met Paige, the main Heroine of the story, in previous books. So absolutely go one-click this one, get comfy with your bottle of wine and your box of tissue and then be sure to come tell me all about it when you are done because I so want to talk to others about this beautiful story.
