Such a great read with many beautiful sentences. I wrote down so many into my notebook.
I read the 50th anniversary edition which also included an correspondence between John Williams and his agent Marie Rodell. Those were super interesting to read!!

I got the book from my library but will buy and read it a second time.

That the book was slow and quiet (and at some moments boring) is what made me love it so much. It resembles life, which can sometimes be boring, mundane and slow. It captured the details of those small but significant details so well.
