I really enjoyed this spooky read, definitely had the creeps multiple times throughout the entire book. While I don't think this is his scariest book (for me personally that goes to Mean Spirited) it was really gripping and kept me wanting to know what happened next! I think the ending with Luke and Merle was a little too easy, and the special demon with the red eyes felt really rushed and kind of "why was it there"? Maybe it'll be answered in the next book!

All in all Nick Roberts is slowly becoming my favorite horror author!

I really enjoyed the first half of this book and felt that it had great tension for someone who enjoys a horror novel. The author does a great job with description even though it was told from a rotating third person POV it was still easy to keep track of who's mind you were in. The second half got slightly predictable with an almost anticlimactic ending, I did feel like the characters overcame a large plot point too easily. This book certainly would've gotten a better score should the last 50 pages have been a bit more exciting. But overall a good read and I will be reading more by this author.

The Exorcist’s House has all the markers of classic 1990s paranormal possession horror; a house, a family, a demonic force, a string of gruesome deaths, catholic priests and an exorcist. Packed full of gory scenes, creepy entities and psychological manipulation, The Exorcist’s House is exactly what you would expect from this genre of horror.
