3.5, rounded down. Reads just like a standard demonic possession scary movie would play, which is both a good & bad thing. Good in that it was fast paced and easy to get through. Bad in that nothing in it was very original and the resolution seemed to happen out of nowhere. Overall it was fine!

Highly enjoyed the story of this book, but frankly couldn't stand the whole family- they were rather one dimensional and not that likeable, especially the husband and wife. I will read the others in the series, as I said, I enjoyed the plot, I just don't care about these characters.
