This was a really enjoyable possession/ haunted house story! Classic stupid behaviour from the characters and an adorable four legged companion! Absolutely checking out the sequel

If you’re into spooky, paranormal, and possessions, I highly recommend reading this one. I was looking for a good spooky book to start off spooky season and this one did not disappoint!

3.5 Stars

3.5 Stars for me. Wasn’t as scary as I wanted it to be but it would make for a great movie.

I was really looking forward to reading this book but found I was very let down. The writing was too descriptive to the point of feeling amateurish and there were a couple of glaring errors that could have been addressed with a good edit.

While I became used to the writing in the second half of the book, ultimately, it didn't land for me.

"I guess it's true what they say about seein' is believin'."

"You humans will never appreciate a stroll through the Garden until you've felt the flames of Hell."

This was a fun, spooky, dread-inducing read. I'm not easily spooked, but this had some scenes that nearly gave me goosebumps. It was hard to put down.

This only wasn't 5 stars for me because it was a very straight-forward possession story. For what it was, it was very well-executed, but I couldn't help wishing there were deeper layers to it.
