This one was a solid 4.75 for me on vibes alone.

The first time in a long time I've read something that had me "nope, nope nope-ing" repeatedly.

I appreciated that unlike most horror novels where it takes forever to build and have things happen, this had creepy and unsettling things around every corner. The atmosphere was creepy the whole time and my mind definitely conjured many a creepy visual from the descriptions of what was happening.

Nick Roberts knows how to write a horror book! This was terrifying! By far one of the scariest books I've read in awhile. The characters were so believable and I genuinely felt so nervous for the family. I can't wait to read his next book.
