what a fun read! i enjoyed the twists and turns of the events and characters in this book. i’m glad near the end i finally got to read a séance with ghosts hehe, i would recommend this to anyone who wants a little bit of a spooky vibe, ghosts, murder, sisterhood, and a twinge of romance! but i will say j enjoyed the author’s other book “the Amalfi curse” a tad more! also i wonder why the author wrote lenna’s pov in third person and mr morley’s pov in first person

I can really say that I typically like the world of spiritualism and the Victorian era - but this was a bit hard to get into and just dreadfully drug on for a while. I thought that "The Lost Apothecary" was great so I decided that I would take a look at this one as well. The setting was fantastic - I feel like we knew what was happening in Chapter 3. The secret wasn't really kept well. I am just in the middle of the road on it.

Surprisingly really good. I enjoyed the plot twist after plot twist. Loved the gothic elements which brought the story to life.
