emotional lighthearted fast-paced

This was alright. A good reminder that just because a book is super popular, doesn't mean I will like it. I hated the first 20%, but it got better. If you are a contemporary romance fan, you'll probably like this.

Loved the movie but loved the book even more

I though this book was nicely layered out. It wasn't as obvious as most rom books where you can predict was going to happen like most storylines. This one took it's time in and felt like it can actually happened in a real like situation .

I feel like this book is cannon in the chick lit space, so it’s kind of wild that it’s taken me so long to get around to reading it. This is THE “enemies-turn-lovers” book. I liked their banter. I really enjoyed the plot twist of the male protagonist wanting to teach the female protagonist boundaries by playing games. This book didn’t change my life, but it was sweet and enjoyable.
lighthearted medium-paced

this was pure perfection of the enemies to lovers trope !!!!!!!!!

so much so that i'm not even mad about the terribly predictable plotlines that i guessed as i read it. can ms. thorne write a sequel because i REALLY wanna see josh what kind of groveling does to get her parents to love him?????

(edit: turns out there is an epilogue that gave me some lovely closure but i need more still ok)
