Series review as I read them all together and they are small books.
Fun & whimsical, a world of wacky inventions indeed. Takes a couple of kids on dramatic adventures in a crazy old hotel. Danger is always around the corner, there are valuable lessons to be learned, and everything is silly. I love the ducks and the key cards and the friendships. The one invention...the gloooop that sprays all over you and you slurp/lick it up as it evaporates...that sounds repulsive because I am positive it would leave you sticky or smelly or gross. Realm of gears or the dino room would be my favorite.

It is such an incredible pleasure to return to the wacky world of the Whippet Hotel and it’s employees. 3 Below by Patrick Carman is the second book in the Floors series, but it is just as enjoyable as the first book, plus if you have not read the first book, it is not all that hard to follow, although I totally recommend you read Floors as well. Here’s the thing, if you are a kid or a grown up looking to re-capture that feeling of magic in a mostly ordinary world, you know the same feeling you got with Roald Dahl, then I think Floors and it’s sequel, 3 Below are the books for you.

This one wasn't as good as the first book, in my opinion. I feel like even though some more elements were introduced, some of the wonder of the first book was worn out. But don't get it wrong, it's still wonderful, as is the end of the book. Give it a read, it's worth it!

The story felt forced, the characters flat, the burp jokes were getting very old (not to mention that I wouldn't let my little brother touch this book for fear of him burping non-stop for weeks), and it didn't have the same sense of fun and quirkiness as [b:Floors|10284337|Floors (Floors, #1)|Patrick Carman|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1328838192s/10284337.jpg|15185747], despite both of them taking place at the wonderful and whimsical Whippet Hotel.
From where I stand, it appears to be one of those series that could have easily, and probably for the better, have stood alone.

This sequel to Floors is set a year after Leo has been made owner of the Whippet hotel. He and Remi, who is now his brother since Leo's dad married Remi's mom, have another zany adventure, this time to save the hotel by paying it's back taxes. Ms. Sparks is the evil villianess and the Yancy family is back. Leo and Remy discover many more of the hotel's incredible secrets in the sub basement. Monkeys, gears, Flart and Floogers and more abound in this fantastically fun fantasy!

For this book, my thoughts and feelings were basically the same as they were in the first book of this trilogy :)
