The author’s passion and enthusiasm for all-things-oak and the life around oaks is just contagious. I loved that. Easy reading with lots of photos for quick reference. This book has really altered (in the best way) how I look at oaks. Really enjoyed this one, just wish there was more!

All the stars! This was an excellent read. It made me wonder if I’ve been reading all the wrong natural history books that, while interesting, always put me to sleep. I couldn’t put this one down! It had something fascinating on every page and was full of pictures so I didn’t have to stop and Google to see what was being discussed. He even shares a few different methods throughout to better observe some of the insects on your oaks. I got this on Kindle and definitely want to buy a physical copy to have for reference.

How many oaks can i plant before I die??? I have 3 massive oaks in my backyard, and I loved learning about the world they support. I can't wait to plant my first acorn. I was fascinated by how much life oaks support throughout the seasons, how long an oak can live, and how I can be part of conserving these massive life givers.
