Warning for audiobook listeners. The narrator used very offensive xenophobic accents when quoting people of other ethnicities. It was shocking to hear and I know Krakauer wouldn’t have emphasized that in his book. Do better!
Not one of his greatest “stories” but it was very informative. I have no idea how I didn't know about this already.

The book itself is good, just Krakauer spilling tea the entire time. I listened to the audiobook and it was mostly good but the narrator felt the need to add an accent to any quotes from foreign individuals, which was a bit cringe in my opinion and ultimately unnecessary.

Sad to read this after greatly enjoying Three Cups of Tea years ago. I’m glad this was investigated.

A solid quick read about wishful thinking, deception and the complexities of running a charity.
