the characters were enjoyable & their dynamics endearing but the cast was too big for a stand alone book, fox felt like a main character but didn't get enough spotlight to actually solidify him in that role, meera and cal were barely there & the ships were very hit or miss

I need to really sit on this one to decide if I actually liked it or not. But basically I can sum this entire story up in one quote. " To die would be an awfully big adventure" - JM Barrie

this is probably a masterpiece but i need someone much smarter to explain it to me

my brain is on the cusp of understanding the depth of this but i’m not shocked because i always feel dumb after reading olivie blake. her writing is brilliant and witty and her characters have so much heart

The second book I've read by Olivie Blake. Honestly an amazing read after One For My Enemy. The beginning is really annoying but I think that is just
because it is Death that is talking and she wants him to sound everlasting and mythical.
