don’t know if I’m in the minority here or not or if it’s because I’m sleep deprived but I am absolutely IN LOVE with this book.

4.5. I liked this the best of the three books. I loved seeing Judes journey through this book and the series as a whole. And unlike some books (cough SJM) I didn’t find myself caring only for the romance. as much as I obviously cared for and loved the enemies to lovers romance of Cardan and Jude, I also equally loved her friendships with the bomb and the roach, and her sisters, as well as her strained relationships with Madoc and her other enemies. A fitting end to the series, and didn’t compromise her character for a neat or easy end. Everything she did made sense to me.

I cried for like 10 minutes straight at one point near the end.. Had to physically shut the book, calm down a bit, and then continued on all teary-eyed til the end 😅

I was incredibly nervous going into this book, as Wicked King was NOT IT for me. I had so many problems with Jude in that book that kinda ruined it for me a bit.... However !! Maaan this book was just incredible. Jude got her act together & was , honestly?? Kinda badass & competent. I was very impressed! It probably helped that her sisters kinda bullied her a bit for keeping everything to herself!

My favorite thing about this book was the focus on Jude's family drama. Like, Cardan/Jude was still a great part (so many moments in the final third made me terribly weepy), but ! I just love the family issues in this one so much!

Madoc was always my favorite character, and seeing things with him come to a head was so so exciting!! I loved , too, getting to hear more of him like.. Just talking? His pov on things & his relationship with his family? There was an incredible conversation + heartbreaking scene between him & Jude about halfway through that made me sooo emotional... 💔 I think >half of my post-its in this one were just for Madoc lines. He's SUCH a good, interesting character-- Holly Black where's my Madoc character study novella !! T_T

I started reading The Cruel Prince and finished it the same day. I immediately picked up the next book and continued reading. This series really sucked me in and wouldn't let go. I read the 3 books in 3 days and I love them all!

It was totally different to what I expected but still amazing. I didn't think it would be so natury and also brutal. This book honestly turned around lots of my expectations about myself. If I had known before what this book is about I would probably have thought that it's too brutal for me and too much political intruige. While reading I really didn't mind though. I actually really enjoyed it.

And The Queen of Nothing was definitely the finale I hoped it would be!! I was really scared that Holly Black wouldn't be able to find a satisfying conclusion to all the drama intruige and betrayal - and yet she did. I loved the ending and I love this whole series. It is so unique and I am so glad that I have read it.

I could not put this down. I wish we got to see a little more Jude and Cardan alone together, but oh well.
