I can not put these books down! I was gifted the first book and got hooked. The adventures the Kidds go on are entertaining and make you want to keep reading. Plot twist here and there. Just when you think something will go their way something else happens. These are young readers for sure but I love a good suspense story no matter the age. The writing is flawless and the characters have been fantastically developed.

A third entry in the Treasure Hunters series which is nit as bad as some of the other series Patterson Inc is coming up with these days, but that doesn't make it brilliant!
The whole plot is more than implausible, to the point that you can never really invest in the characters or story because you don't believe in them. Below average adventure fare.

So basically, when i was 9 or 10 my dad saw the cover of this book, read the back, flipped through the pages, and decided (probably in the middle of the Costco book section) that his favorite (and only) book-crazed daughter could use some color in her library. I read it all the way through, because what else did i have to do and what other books did i have to read? I had never read the previous two, never bothered even after i finished this one, and i highly dislike most of James Patterson's work (dont crucify me it's my opinion), but i remember enjoying this. I remember how my dad smiled when he gave it to his literature-depraved-ragamuffin, and so even without remembering the plot, i cant give it lower than 4 stars.
