I love this series so much and I've only just finished the first volume! There is so much heart and love in Fruits Basket. I was expecting some humor but it hit me with all of the emotions. I can't wait to read more.
This is the first book in a 23 vol. series so I didn't expect things to get really good yet. It was a solid start. It's honestly so good to see these characters again. I watched the old anime which never went very far or deep so I'm really looking forward to reading the manga which I've heard is much much better and more complex.

Muy bien. Es una lástima que el título sea intraducible hasta que la propia historia te cuenta lo que hizo la profesora (y ya de paso entiendes cuál es el juego en cuestión), porque desde el principio establece muy bien de qué va a ir la historia y por qué no son frutas del cesto. Ay, esta serie me está extendiendo cheques de una relación poliamorosa con harem inverso, incesto y una pizca de furrismo que no sé yo si va a poder pagar cuando llegue el momento. Dentrísimo, eso sí.
I can totally see why this is a series people love, it took me just a bit to get into it but wow.... so charming. And zodiac. And animals. And all the characters are likable in their own ways, I especially love the protagonists believe-in-everyone attitude. Definitely will continue the series.
Oh, and on an art note.... I love all the backgrounds/patterns/shading styles. Especially for clothes and the animals. Lots to love!

There are not word to describe how much I love this series! I finished it and dang! I want MORE!! Female lead is an average girl, with a hugging problem. I found this extremely funny because of what it does to the male characters. Get your mind out of the gutter, I wasn't talking about that. I don't want to give anything away. This series is really good!!
My first manga ever, I think, and I'm sure to many other weeaboo also. Haven't really looked at it since, but it was decent enough to make me read more.

shoujo manga's are usually a, b, and c but fruits basket brings it to another level. I have never read a shoujo manga that is as FLESHED out as this one.
We follow Tohru, a young girl who is dealing with the loss of her mother.. living in a tent... in the woods.
