For me, this book is trying too hard to be funny. It is a bit cringy.

I really enjoyed it! It wasn't spectacular and life altering where it made me think of nothing but it for days after, but it was enjoyable. While listening to it I was all into what's happening, and looking forward to the next crazy thing the character was thinking/doing. It was like listening to some weird self-help tape from someone who literally just landed on earth. And it was so dark at some points. I checked it out because I really enjoyed The Midnight Library so I'm happy to see Haig is a go-to author when I'm looking for a good time.

This very well may be my new favorite book.

I LOVED this book. It was so beautiful, and the plot was so fun. I know it sounds crazy, but this book follows the story of an alien sent to earth to live as a human to destroy a math problem.

The “alien” slowly learns about what being a human is like. The good, the bad, and the ugly. He learns about empathy and emotions and it was so real to the experience we have as humans!

As weird as it sounds, if you liked the Barbie Movie this book is for you. Also for the people out there who loved the book Anxious People, this one is for you!

A feel good read!

I have read a few of Matt Haig's books, and this is very similar in sentiment and tone to his others. Offers some nice reflections on life and what it means to be human but nothing especially special. I think I preferred 'The Midnight Library'.
