Este libro en verdad no fue para mí. No suelo terminar historias que me aburren como está, pero el orgullo me ganó. Debo decir que el final lo salvó un poco y la escritura fue buena. Solo por eso pensaré en leer alguna otra cosa de Hemingway.

Santiago is an old Cuban fisherman who catches a giant fish after a few days of trailing out into the sea. Once he catches the fish, sharks approach the boat and eat parts of his giant catch.. Santiago is constantly wanting company on his journey, mainly that of Manolin. The ending was.. open for interpretation. My assumption was that Hemingway was alluding to the fact that Santiago had died. I think the way Santiago describes the sea is beautiful. However I found this book to be problematic in certain areas. The whole adventure was futile. I doubt I will reread this book
