Considering that I did not particularly like Exciting Times, this was a very pleasant surprise.
Each character was flawed in their own complex way, and I enjoyed working through the will they or won't they (even though you could conclude, almost from page one, that they absolutely should not).

If you love reality dating/wedding shows where two people who probably shouldn’t be together find themselves “in love” and racing to the altar…this is for you!
It’s giving Love is Blind after the engagements and I ate it up.
It was funny and toxic and a little bit sad. I loved the multiple POVs from all the main characters as we get closer to the wedding day.
When it feels like I’m hearing gossip from different characters, I loooooove it.
This will be a reread FOR SURE!

I read this author's "Exciting Times" and while I didn't love it, I could see the potential, and I couldn't wait to see what she did next. As I had hoped this was significantly better. It's very much a character and environment study that toys with the thought that no one person can know you fully; their perception of you is colored by the environment, their own idiosyncrasies, relationship histories, and the many other components of the human web. It does this really well in such a small number of pages. Not fast-paced by any means, but I didn't want to put it down.
