My youngest sister was given a copy of this book because of her love of Winnie the Pooh. I can recall flipping through this book more than once, just to see the difference from the Disney version. I could see why these stories had lasted so long, but I greatly preferred the Disney artwork to the original book illustrations.

Jsem opravdu ráda, že mě tahle kniha v dětství minula. Jako dospělá dokážu aspoň ocenit literární kvality a přesahy a neuvěřitelnou sbírku všech myslitelných psychických poruch, když už mě téměř všechny postavy nebetyčně štvaly. Jako dítě bych tu knihu nenáviděla, nesnášela jsem příběhy založené na nelogičnostech a nedorozuměních.

Absolutely delightful stories for children. I'm just sorry I never read this as a child.

A must read for the young and young at heart.

Note: this is the original - NOT the Disney version.

I have loved this world and these characters since I was a young child. I have watched just about every tv and movie adaptation there is and I love them all.
I especially identify with Piglet and Eyore.
I decided to read this right now because I am gifting this to my newborn nephew for Christmas, and I wanted to read it one more time before giving it away.
And one more thing...

POOH BEAR, WINNIE THE POOH BEAR! LOOKIN FOR FUN! CHASING SOME HOOOOONEY BEES! :)

Pooh sings a lot. I mean, a lot. I do not know why, but I presume that it has something to do with this being a children's book and music (especially simple music) appeals greatly to kids. The stories are classics and I plan on sharing them with the next generation.

3.5

What a lovely collection of stories about imagination and friendship.

Vis dar miela, aš vis dar Nulėpausis. Viskas kaip buvę.

This was my first favorite book that I never read. My mother read it out to me when I was 5 and I would not eat a meal without being read to from this book. Rating it would not do it justice, so I will leave it unrated.
