Who doesn't adore this book? Such a great message! How do you handle those meanies in your world? Stand tall! Be proud of who you are!
Now that is one phenomenal grandma! This is the advice we should be giving all kids!! Heck all adults too!!
Molly Lou Melon has really unique features and that makes her an easy target for the bullies in school. But she doesn't let her differences stop her from having a good time, and she uses her good attitude to stay positive against the hurtful words from her new peers. This story is a perfect anti-bullying book for young students
A book about self-acceptance and bullies. Here we have Molly Lou Melon, a 1st grader, the shortest first grader in fact, who has a wonderful grandmother who gives her delightfully positive feedback which totally builds Molly Lou up enough to deal with a bully in the most perfect ways. If we could all build the self esteem of our children in such a way that is not obnoxious but still gives them a humble confidence that no one could ever crush, what a great place it would be. A great read for early elementary ages, K-3.
Another great "be yourself" book. Encourages students when they feel like they can't amount to anything.
I love any book that encourages kids to be themselves. This is such a book, and it is clever and adorable.
Oh, Molly Lou! We all love you. And the girls with whom I share this book love you, too. One of our faves.
Great pictures, but also a wonderful story. Molly Lou Melon is her own person and does it well.
