Was not a fan of the style.
A bit rambling at times.
Also just felt like a recap of the crimes committed by a bunch of serial killers than an analysis of their psychology. Not much insight from the author. But the subject matter is interesting enough.

Oh I’m so sad to say this but by the end of this book I was somewhat bored.
The book started strong, if not quite how I expected. I was intrigued and ready to learn about specific cases (which you eventually do), even if the intro feels like its multiple chapters long. The writing is informal, and chatty, but I quite enjoyed that - even if there are long, winding digressions during the course of the book.
It can’t be avoided but there are so many names and I felt like I needed a cheat sheet to understand who was who and how they intertwined. This didn’t help my boredom as I actually got lost during certain parts of each case and I found I was skipping parts because I didn’t understand the timeline.
There’s obviously previous knowledge needed that I was missing. It wasn’t an awful read but I definitely considered putting it down at least once.
