SIGH. If you're studying like a mad woman, and you just want some mindless nonsense to indulge in - THIS IS YOUR BOOK. Kept me up till late in the evening, really fast-paced, unfortunately I predicted the ending earlier in the novel which was a little annoying.
I didn't love the second entry to this series, because it set up a generic love triangle with Julian (who isn't an interesting character at all) and Alex (who's nothing special but just fine I guess). I mean, this is a universe where the story takes place in a world where love isn't a thing, but there's a triangle somehow? I would have liked it more had it just focused on Lena and Alex. Oliver's writing is very good, but I don't love the plot.

Are you kidding me?? Lauren Oliver did it to me yet again!!! Last line of the book, I scream oh no you can't be serious!!! And want to throw my book... This time I don't have the next book, but believe me, pay day its mine!!! This series is amazing, one of the best, in my opinion, of the dystopian genre... At first it is a little hard to follow going back and forth between then and now, but after a few chapters, you get the hang of it. It was really nice to see how Lena grows as a person, her own person, in this book. She is also not perfect, she has flaws, but tries her best and even if by accident, makes it thru better and stronger. She's not one of those fake heroes of a book, you can relate to Lena and see yourself in her. And if for no other reason, pick this series up, because Lauren Oliver knows exactly how to right a great book and having you come back for more.
I didn't enjoy this installment very much, but I kind of knew that I wouldn't. I am looking forward to the third book. If you didn't know Alex was alive the entire time you are just plain silly.
'This is the way the world is made now.'
This is the second book in the Delirium trilogy, following straight after the events from the second book.
Lena is now on the run, having left her old life behind her, she explores the wilds and finds the resistance.
This was a slow starting book, but still good!
The endings keep making me want more!
4 stars!

I’ m torn with this book. I love the world and Lena, but I hated Julian! I spent the whole book hoping that Alex would come back. Im so glad he did, but I hoped that Julian would be a fraud, just for an excuse to get him out of the picture. He just doesn’t seem very dimensional and Lena and Julian’s relationship seemed insincere in comparison to Lean and Alex. I don’t quite understand why Lean had to even fall for him. It kind of pissed me off that she seemed to get over Alex so quickly.
With that being said, I think Lena has fantastic character development in this book. Also, Lauren Oliver is such a fantastic writer. She is so poetic!
Anyways, I will be reading the final book. I just hope that we don’t lose the sarcastic Lena and relationships that are genuine.
