I thought this book was better than the first: the world is established and we know the characters and what their struggle is. It ends on a great cliff-hanger and made me excited to finish out the series, unlike the first book which left me feeling lukewarm about continuing (my library wait list happened to be very short for Pandemonium otherwise I would have been fine waiting a few weeks or even months to read it). It's juvenile, but it's supposed to be. Fun light read for homework procrastination
I just finished reading Pandemonium. It is the sequel to Delirium, written by Lauren Oliver. After fleeing from her old life, Lena finds herself in a new life. She must force all the memories of her old life out so that she can push forward with her new life. Will she be able to put the past in the past or will it keep haunting her?
I really enjoyed this book. I may be one of the few here, but I found it and its prequel entertaining. I find that on many levels I can actually connect to Lena’s personality. She’s smart yet cautious. She’s brave yet unsure of herself. I love how witty and suspenseful this book can be.
At first, I felt like I was thrown through loops. It kept going from the present to the past. After I figured out why they were doing it, I understood it better though. This is the only real problem I had with the book honestly. Other than that, it was easy to read and understand. The characters were easy to relate to and fun to read about.
I fully recommend this book. I especially recommend it to all those readers who love dystopian novels. I’m going to suggest that you own the whole trilogy before you read it though. I won’t go into the details why. I wish I owned the third book so I can dive right into it. I will be getting it soon though.

Started off a little slow, but as it got going, it was difficult to put down. The book switches back and forth in time and at first it's a little jarring, and I found myself wanting to stay in the "now" rather than "then". The ending is a total cliffhanger that you sort of know is coming because everything seems to be going so smoothly. For moms, the author unnecessarily slips in the "F" word a few times and there is some violence. Looking forward to the next book.
I have to say I enjoyed Pandemonium much more than Delirium.
somehow this book was like 100% better than the last one

This almost got a 4. I loved the majority of this book---I loved that Lena was slowly becoming stronger, I loved the back and forth between Now and Then, I loved that her role was to be a spy. There were a few snags---not a whole lot of secondary character depth (I barely cared when Blue died), I don't understand exactly HOW Lena, Raven, and Tack managed to get into the city, etc. But I liked it. And then another boy appeared and the book became alllll about Lena falling in love with him and then boom, the ending happened, which I expected the whole time because LENA NEVER ACTUALLY SAW ALEX DIE SO OF COURSE HE'S GOING TO POP UP.
