i really like how much lena has evolved and grown since delirium. she's stronger and more independent.
i really enjoyed it. but im not going to lie, i guessed that julian was going to be her new love interest from the moment they introduced her and i hated it. i never thought that alex was dead, and she belongs with him dammit!
there's nothing wrong with julian, he seems like a top guy, but alex.. come on.

I can't speak right now. I can't think. I'm just numb because WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? No one, no one ends a book like that my god...
I really enjoyed this book; Lauren Oliver's writing is just to powerfull. To my surprise I've actually grown to like Julian, but that last page.. jesus, I'm seriously crying because of the last page, hell the last word. Going to jump right now into the next one xx

This book is easily a new favorite. I loved Delirium, but this book BLEW it out of the water. I cannot describe my love for this sequel. It is only January 5th, and I already know that this book will be one of my favorites of the year, if not of all time.

Pandemonium takes place in two different times. There is dual narrative, which I love, but instead of it being between two different characters, it is between Lena from "then" and Lena from "now". In a way it is two separate characters because of how Lena has changed. The "now" part focuses on Lena in the resistance and her story surviving through prison with one of the idols of the cure. The "then" part is focusing on her escape to the Wilds and living with the Invalids.

We got some entirely new characters in this book. The only character that is from Delirium that we get in this book is Lena. Everyone else is of course mentioned, but Lena is the center of it all.

What I think of the characters:
Raven- I love her. I think she is an excellent and strong leader, someone Lena really needs in order to straighten herself out.
Tack- At first I wasn't the biggest fan of him, but his character certainly grew on me and by the end I loved him as well.
Hunter- I really liked his role of friendship toward Lena. Again, I thought it was very helpful for her.
Julian- And here is my favorite. I love Julian so much. Even when he was first introduced I knew that he was going to be a good character.

My thoughts on the character development:
Lena has grown so much in this book compared to book one. I felt that she was incredibly strong, especially in the "now" section of the book. She was the dominant, and it was awesome. I think she is such an amazing character, one that many people should look up to. The way she thinks through her struggles really related to myself and how I think through mine.

My thoughts on the action:
There was SO much more action in Pandemonium than Delirium. And it kept the book moving at an incredibly fast rate. I loved the thrilling aspect of this book. There were multiple spots where my heart was racing.

My thoughts on the romance:
I loved it so much. I think I like Lena and Julian more than Lena and Alex. Actually I KNOW I did. I liked Lena better with Julian because I felt like she had a clearer idea of who she was and what she wanted, and Julian took Lena's role from Delirium, and I loved how she eventually let him in. Although I have NO idea who she is going to choose in Requiem because she loves them both. Ugh, love triangles, you will be the death of me.

My thoughts on the ending:
First of all, we finally kind of meet Lena's mom, which was exciting, and I am really excited to see if we meet her again in Requiem. The execution scene was so cool when Raven killed Thomas and they saved Julian. AMAZING! Clearly I love the relationship between Lena and Julian as I have previously stated. But then there is the complication of Alex, which I knew was going to happen. I just knew he wasn't dead, he couldn't be. And I AM happy about it, because I love Alex. I am just nervous to see how Lena is going to handle it. I also hope in the next book we get to see more of Hana.

Overall, this book was spectacular, and if you have read Delirium and are hesitant to pick up the next, DO IT!

I was so excited to read the sequel to Delirium! So I read it. The chapters skipping from Then to Now was quite confusing at the start. But it finally straightened out when the two plots intertwined. Anyways, this book was as good as I expected it to be.
At first, I was disappointed when I didn't see Alex's name anywhere. I thought he was dead. Until the last bit... :) That was awesome.
I was a little bit disappointed too when Lena got over Alex quite fast and wanted Julian instead. But, I can't exactly blame her.
I thought Raven and Tack are really great and how the helped Lena out in the Wilds.
Great book overall.

It was a bit boring at the beginning and I was coming from Delirium hyped up and all. Buuut it picked up the pace at a certain point and time flew flawlessly, a very easy task for Lauren Oliver.
