As far as second in a trilogy goes, this was pretty great. It was fairly predictable since it seemed to just follow the tropes you expect out of YA dystopian... HOWEVER, there were a couple unexpected revelations, and it was the same lovely storytelling as Delirium. Well written, didn’t disappoint.
Ik denk dat je een drankspel kan verzinnen rondom hoe vaak Lena bewusteloos raakt 😂😂😂 verder... op naar deel 3!
This book connects book one and book 3. A friend told me this book wasn't so good as number 1 and 3 so my expectations weren't zo high. That's why I still rank it with 4 stars. Can't wait to read number 3.
This was a very good sequel. Admittedly I wasn't as passionately into it as the first book but that soon changed a few chapters in. The THEN and NOW format took a little getting used to as it was slightly frustrating being pulled in and out of scenes and times. However, the character development and expanded story was compelling.
The ending I both feared and hoped for happened which left me both excited and sad at the same time.
Looking forward to the release of the third part Requiem in February.

I love the change of timelines, going from the past to Lena to the current one is really intriguing. It keeps the reader engaged. I also love the conflict within the book, of Lena's love, the way Raven treats her, Julian. Overall great book :)
I was hesitant to read this after reading a few poor reviews and ratings. I actually liked it better than the first. Normally I don't like when an author changes the format and style of the writing in the middle of a series. This book goes bank and forth between a then (while in the wilds) and a now (a life in NYC.) I really enjoyed it that way. It was more suspenseful and smoother to read. I almost wish the first was written the same way.
This one was also edited better. In Delerium it had really long almost unnecessary descriptive paragraphs. This one was a lot better, I didn't skim nearly as much as the first. I felt I loved the characters more and more as you go along. I found this book better than the first. Usually I liked the 1st book in a series the best and then the last one the least. Oddly this series seems to be doing the opposite for me, So now maybe I will have too high hopes for the last.
****Some Spoiler Below****
Although when Pandemonium starts out I keep wanting the love story from Deliruim to continue. I want so bad for her to return to Alex's "home." But as the story progresses I let that notion go and let myself go where the book takes me, and I loved the ride. Of course ending in a great twist ending!!!

I finished this in half a day and I LOVED IT. Until the ending.
-------SPOILERS---------
Don't get me wrong, I love Alex and I was desperate when I read that he was dead, but STOP TO LOVE TRIANGLES, PLEASE. They're in EVERY SINGLE ya book! And while it can be interesting to read once or twice about two guys fight about one girl as she alternatively ignores them, then it becomes incredibly boring. I gave this book four stars just for the ending, it would've deserved five otherwise, and I hope that in the next book Lauren manages to stay out of this odious love triangle clichè and gives us another amazing book to read.
