I really enjoyed this one. It has been awhile since I read the first one but I think I liked the storyline of this one even better. Now I'm sad I have to wait so long to see the third one after the shocking ending of this one!

OMG! This book was awesome! I can't believe Lauren Oliver brought Alex back from the dead. And the line he says, "Don't believe her". OMG! I'm soooooooo exicted to read the thrid book! I wish I didn't have to wait until Spring 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book was AMAZING! It is definitely one of the best books I have EVER read. The story is beautifully written by Lauren Oliver (these days there aren't many authors who can write so superbly). The story line is captivating with many twists and turns that keep you on your toes. After reading Delirium I didn't believe Lauren Oliver could write a squeal to a book that was already so moving, however, I was pleasantly surprised when I stated reading Pandemonium and I literally could not put it down. I read this book in a day and I was up till 2am because everytime I wanted to stop...I just couldn't.

From reading the extract of this book my initial thoughts were that Lena would go to the Wilds, get stronger, find another boy, fall in love, join a resistance against the "cured", try and find Alex, some sort of complication, then Alex comes back at the very end of the novel. Ohhh how I was sooo wrong!!! Oliver completely turned the story around. I loved how she made us think that the story would be about Lena's experience in the Wilds but completely transformed it into a story that wasn't just about her time in the Wilds but Lena's experience of going back into "cured society" and how she survives being an uncured resistance member.

I thought this book was very interesting in the way that Oliver had flipped the Role of Lena in this novel. In Delirium, Lena is the "damsel in distress" whose soul needs to be saved before the "cured's" get to her. Alex helps Lena to understand the truth about the so called "Deleria", so that she eventually falls in love and would do anything not lose the love she has found. In this novel Julian needs to be saved (although as we get to know him better we discover that he isn't a typical cured anyway). Julian (like Lena in Delirium) is taught how to love and eventually falls in love with Lena. Lena's role is completely reversed in this book. Lena is the strong, independent, persistent person and will fight to the death in order to save herself and the person she loves from the cure. I love this aspect of the story. Lena isn't the damsel anymore. She is now playing the role of Alex in the first book.

As for the new character Julian...I think we can't help falling in love with him too, just like Lena did. BUT Alex isn't forgotten. I wasn't surprised when Alex came back at the very end of the novel. It seems that the next book is going to be very interesting with the love triangle between Julian, Alex and Lena. Already we see that Alex is very messed up from his ordeal. He has obviously sacrificed alot to get to Lena only to find Julian and Lena kissing and talking about never leaving each other. It was also interesting to note that Lena said she found it easier to talk to Julian than Alex in this book. My prediction is that Lena will eventually end up with Julian as Alex is too emotionally messed up from his experience as a prisoner. Regardless, I am SOOOOOOOOO excited for the next book. I can't believe I have to wait so long for it to come out!! :( Definitely one of the best series I have ever read!!
