Hands down my favorite series. I re read this series whenever I’m in a reading slump.
In the beginning of the book all I remember thinking is about Alex and when he finally showed up and saw Lena all I remember thinking is “awkward”

(Re-read) So many 2nd or middle novels fall into a "meh" category. Nothing really happens, too much happens, so much time is spent explaining or setting up the big finish, things drag, there's filler, etc. etc. Fantastically, Oliver has dodged this bullet. The format keeps the book moving. Upon second reading I really think it would have suffered had it been told in pure chronological order.

OMG, it was amazing! I was singing for joy and screaming out in frustration at the end as everything i did and didn't want to happen happened. I can't believe the long wait for the next one now :(

I liked Delirium better. There was something more alive and magical about it. I wasn't very convinced in this one. I kept wanting to go back to Ally Condie's Reached and rereading various passages. But, I will say, the cliffhanger is just making me want to read Requiem and rumour has it that it'll be divided between Lena and Hana. Makes me wonder who Alex will end up with and who Lena will. I did like Julian but he sounds a bit whimpy, but nice. I like that vulnerability. I was annoyed by Lena, but unlike Tris from Veronica Roth's Divergent, Lena stays true to her character, her thoughts, loves and fears. She's great in a way, but still not my favourite female character.

This was a good read, I'm dying for the third book. I want to know what happens. And I want to know now.

‘I wonder if this is how people always get close: they heal each other’s wounds; they repair the broken skin’ - read this in one night! Beautiful however the slowest in the trilogy.
