Loved, loved, loved it!!! This read like a movie, heck this should be a movie. This was the first of Beth Kendrick's books that I have read, and I can't wait to read the rest.

Another reviewer described this book as "Sweet Home Alabama" and that's it exactly. Fortunately, I loved "Sweet Home Alabama." So imagine "Sweet Home Alabama" set in New England, and this is the book.

I may have read this in one day, barely putting it down. Let's just say it was a good piece of chick lit. I liked it.

The Week Before the Wedding is a love triangle story. The career woman who is about to get married to Mr. Responsible and Stable meets up with her ex, Mr. Harley Riding Bad Boy, the week before her wedding and chaos ensues. Entertaining enough read but too formulaic to be special.

I needed a palate cleanser from all the murder -- this did the trick! It's a quick, sweet read.

Emily is trying very hard to be someone she's not. She's marrying a surgeon and going along with his family's stodgy expectations. Her ex-husband from a disastrous starter marriage shows up at the hotel and shenanigans ensue.

I loved Emily's mom and step-sister -- think Blanche from the Golden Girls thrown into a mix of pearl-clutching blue bloods. There was lots of witty dialogue. And, of course, a happy ending, which is why you read books like this.
