The characters felt one-dimensional, and the intrigue was too straightforward to be engaging, which contributed to a lack in any real suspense. Just didn’t have the depth or punch I crave.

So good! Great page turner. The mystery was good but not super challenging to figure out
Gave only murder in the building vibes. Overall a fun read!
Found it very difficult to connect with the protagonist, and finished it mainly out of a completionist mindset. I wanted to like it but, while many characters were quite interesting, having to experience them via Molly's eyes just dulled them down for me.
It was well written, anyway, and my issues with the story are probably more of a me thing, so I gave it 2 stars.

I'd thought that I would thoroughly enjoy this book, and as it turns out, I was one hundred percent correct on my assumption!
A maid who struggles with social skills stumbles upon a dead body in a hotel room and immediately becoming the prime suspect of the case... YES, I'd love an enticing mystery with a unique yet relatable main character!
Despite the fact that Molly struck me as a bit too awkward for my own comfort at first (and yeah, I understand it wasn't her fault, but I was just quite surprised by her way of putting things), I began to warm up to her bluntness and innocence as the story unfolded. At the end of the day, she was one good egg. (I mean, sure, she had her flaws and had made some mistakes along the way, but don't we all?) And as for the rest of the characters, they were well-balanced, even though there wasn't anyone particularly memorable for me.
There weren't any big shocking "reveals", since I guess the culprit and the "bad guys" were pretty much obvious throughout the entire book.
Nevertheless, this kept me entertained and engrossed the whole time - a lovely ride indeed! (And I'm SO RELIEVED that our quirky maid finally got the ending she deserved!)
