My first read of the year and I made the right decision in choosing this one. This book contained many wholesome and heartwarming stories involving cats, their owners, sometimes dogs, and Mr. & Mrs. Herriot. Though I teared up a bit during Oscar's story, it's still a light and fun read suited for those who needed a break from heavy-themed books.

I received this book as a gift. What a thoughtful gift it is. I loved the stories and the illustrations are so well done as well.

Stories about cats, set in England = perfect. Well written and engaging stories. My cat, Malcolm, liked it when I read these stories to him.

This was a super cute collection of short stories about cats that Jame's Herriot encountered during his work. All of the cats are adorable (though I think Oscar was my favorite though). I am curious to read more of his work!

Solid 3.75 almost a 4. I loved how charming all of the stories were but wished it was longer and all the characters were more fully developed. Once you began to get to know a person and their feline, it was onto the next one. I must revisit these old childhood favorites (the full Harriet books.)
