I loved this book and couldn't wait to pick up the second one. I felt every emotion possible while reading this, I feel so connected to these characters and only want them to escape Dolor and build the life they deserve together.

I am in utter awe. I am speechless. I am stunned. I am left wanting more. This story kept giving and taking and my emotions were on a constant roller coaster.
Mia, saying she is unbelievably strong is an understatement. I can’t even fathom the amount of pain and suffering she went through. I don’t know when or what made me think she was sexually assaulted, but I could somehow sense it happened. Her numbness and being emotionally detached from everything was interesting to read. Every time she did or said something unexpectedly and cruel, I had to remember that she didn’t care. All the “normal” feelings people had in certain situations and the horrible effects it had on them, didn’t bother her.
As the story went on and she was sent away I couldn’t possibly predict what would happen next. Everything just went into free fall. The moment she meet Ollie I knew he was different. So open and honest, it was refreshing. He was her light in the darkness. He is so well spoken and I absolutely fell in love with his character.
Their moments together were absolute fire. You couldn’t contain their cemetery. Ollie saw something in Mia the moment they meet that he couldn’t walk away. He broke down her walls and smashed away her barriers. It was soul crushing to read as she came crashing down from all the emotions and secrets she kept hidden from herself.
Ollie brought her back from the darkness and they fought their way through everything. All the moments together were beautiful and the moments apart were pure torture. Their relationship was like nothing I’ve read before. And with all that unraveled, Oscar being his brother completely shocked me to my core. I couldn’t believe it.
I simultaneously didn’t want it to end while needing to finish to know everything. My heart broke for Mia from trying everything in her power to get Ollie back, only to have lost him in another way. I can’t wait to continue reading their story and find out what happens next.

oh my god. this deserves so much more than 5 stars. the ending. kill me. STAY WITH ME. im honestly so obsessed with this book, i haven’t stfu ab it since i started it. i need help, this book has broken me wtf. MIAOLLIE YOURE LOVED BY ALL, mia rose jett you have my soul and i love you.

It took me a little while to get into this book but once I did get into it I really enjoyed it! I get why everyone loved this book. The writing was beautiful. I loved how Ollie didn’t give up on Mia. I especially loved the moments where Ollie could tell by her eyes that her walls were closing and he told her to “stay with me” I can tell why everyone loved this book, and although it wasn’t my absolute favourite the writing was beautiful
