1⭐️ just for Zeke (because he didn’t talk).
everyone seemed to like this book so I wanted to give it a chance, but wtf did I just read??
I guess I’m in the minority because I liked nothing about this book.
The mental health representation was really badly done in my opinion. The handling of rape/sexual assault was horrendous: page 97 (spoiler alert) Ollie gets sexually assaulted by Bria, while he’s drunk and unconscious, in front of everyone and when Mia said it was rape, one of their friends said «yeah, but is it our place?» WELL YES I THINK IT IS you’re literally watching your friend getting sexually assaulted and you’re doing nothing??? the worst is that they all stayed friends even with the girl who assaulted him like nothing happened, no one talked about it afterwards WTFFF
everyone kissed everyone, had sex with everyone, nothing made sense, everything was so cringey
the main characters fell in love in two days, it wasn’t love that was just affective dependance..
and the end of the book??? the drastic change of Ollie’s comportment under medications didn’t make ANY sense
(since I never learn I already bought the entire trilogy so I’ll see if I give it a chance (I really don’t want to))

Stay With Me was a unique concept intermingled with a gorgeous writing style. It follows the story of Mia, the protagonist, who believes she is a sociopath. She does not have emotions. She is taken to a reform school where she may receive mental health care and education. The facility is a mental health facility where individuals receive treatment and a school where they attend classes and earn credits. Still, if they screw up or get into problems, the dean will send them to prison or a mental hospital. In the same school, she meets Ollie, who is considerably different from Mia, yet he is still dealing with his mental health issues. The plot follows not only their romance but also her healing, his mental condition, and various other people with whom they interact.

This book was both painful and beautiful; some of its events wounded me. It was an emotional story about two individuals who felt too much and too little for one other and had no idea what to do with their deep feelings. My heart hurt for Ollie and everything Mia put him through since she denied her feelings for him. Mia is a mysterious person. Yes, she has flaws, but her history moved me to tears. There is a reason she is the way she is, and it wasn't easy to witness her open to everyone in group therapy. It is a story about young individuals who have emotional issues and depression because of childhood trauma. Its silent plea for aid and how our society responds to it. It was a painful struggle and battle for friendship and love at any cost.

The character development is excellent. Even for side characters, the writing is outstanding, the storyline is unique, and nothing is predictable. It started slowly, but if you're captivated by the first few chapters. The author's writing style is incredibly vivid, and she has a beautiful way of letting you feel precisely what the characters are feeling. My emotions were all over the place during the novel. I laughed a lot, and my heart hurt a lot. Her words came to life and triggered those feelings. Overall, this is a great book—a page-turner. I highly recommend it.

I don’t think yet his is a bad book. I just wasn’t enjoying it enough. I found that I didn’t really want to pick it up and I was starting to rush through. Wasn’t a huge fan of the drug, alcohol and sex drama was played out as very soap opera, alongside a really serious story. What do I know, but it felt a little over the top. And I liked Ollie but it was a bit too insta love for me. I don’t know why their connection was so deep and strong so fast.

what. in. the. world. ?!
this book was so bad. as in, one stars are usually reserved for DNFs and i FINISHED this one. SO. BAD.

"No one has a right to insult something they can’t understand, and tears shouldn’t be wasted on misunderstandings"
I liked the book but I loved the characters. Mia is amazing, she has certain beliefs about life like how people shouldn't be judged about things that doesn't define who they are or how even before she knew still had a strong opinion about
rape
. And then there's Ollie, he's such a darling and has the biggest heart I just know that he would love to read so many books I've seen/read

okayyy so... confused about how I feel after this...
at the beginning it seemed like a pretty interesting story, had so much potential. beginning was interesting, I can even overlook kinda instant love thing going on, and the unnecessary repeated actions and events (sexual and cringe), and I can over look the underdevelopment of some aspects of it that could have been bigger then they were. I feel lineal the major plot points very good but kinda overlooked, she surprised us and then moved on to the same repetitive dialog between Ollie and Mia. I feel like she became in touch with her emotions pretty quacky but okay. after I passed half of the book it became boring. I was beginning to be interested when Maddie turned up but again... underdeveloped part of the plot. then I was super socked when we found out who was Ollies brother. but after that again... repetitive dialog. Mia was supposed to me girl with too much trauma who became psychopath but I just saw a girl who had trauma but also just cared about sex and was really depending on Ollie taking care of her. Ollie was supposed to be a boy with trauma with too strong emotions but I saw just a boy who needed an obsession. yes he was very kind and truly good and pure but also very possessive with mia, especially when, at the end of the book, we see his point of view on the first time he saw her. from the first moment he sawyer he describes her and home, a part of him, a girl who he loves an has to have lets say. like okay you like her that's normal but the was he describes it, pure obsession. thing he forgives her were really big and I think he should have needed more time to deal with it. he just kinda exits it. and end the end when he became emotionless it was very interesting. I think seeing him like that can be really fun but also I don't see her developing it as a story I would like to read. even at the end of this book she gives us a moment between them and he is supposed to be without emotion but he acts kinda nicer that I think he should. idk. making him scarier would be fun but I don't think I will continue reading it, story really has so much potential but she repeats thing over and over, dialogs became boring and the interesting parts are overlooked, she mostly gives us cringe parts too be honest.

wattpad literature at its finest: insta love, cheesy romance, and trauma dump—and guess what? it’s my guilty pleasure

a pesar de que me estaba gustando, había muchas cosas que me desesperaron y que no me gustaron
