that epilogue in Ollie's POV of their first meeting both murdered me in cold blood and resurrected me like a true love's kiss fr

THIS BOOOK. Holy. Apparently I’m looking for sad girl summer because I’m obsessing over all the emotional reads right now.

This book broke me, pissed me off, made me sappy smile. Everything.

Mia gets sent to a reformatory college in the UK after driving her stepmothers car through the garage door. Other things had happened previously, so this was the final straw. Mental Institution or Dolor.

For as long as Mia could remember she felt nothing, completely emotionless. Until she goes to Dolor and meets Ollie.

This book is a rollercoaster. And I’m pretty broken from it right now. I immediately had to go buy the the next two books, and I’m kinda mad Amazon isn’t delivering them for 6 days.

There are a lot of triggers in this book, definitely check those out if you need to.

the little "games" the characters did were disgusting.

HMM.. THIS BOOK THREW ME FOR A LOOP. IT’S GOT SOME PRETTY HEAVY TOPICS IN IT. IT’S DEFINITELY NOT PREDICTABLE. I’LL FOR SURE READ THE SECOND ONE IN THIS SERIES. BUT OVERALL I’M REALLY NOT SURE HOW I FEEL ABOUT IT. I THINK I’LL GIVE IT 3 STARS FOR NOW. MAYBE THAT WILL CHANGE WHEN I READ THE SECOND ONE

3 stars because it took me a month to get started and into it and because there was no trigger warning at the start. It doesn’t really deserve the 3 but I liked the cliches

this book is brilliant. Sucked me right in and didn’t let me go. I don’t think I’ve smiled so much reading a book. 10/10

CHECK YOUR TRIGGER WARNINGS!!!!

Started off 2025 with an emotionally damaging read, but it was also beautiful at the same time. The writing was poetic and beautiful, and honestly mind-blowing— this is a debut novel.

This story takes place at a university set in the UK, but it’s not just a regular uni. It’s one where troubled teens attend to get help with whatever difficulties they are facing. When I started reading this, I didn’t like Mia and her ways, but after learning some things about her, I understood why she was the way she was. By the end, I loved the growth her character had. Now, Ollie, this man owns my heart. I’ve never met a male character who wasn’t afraid to show his feelings. I don’t want to go into too much detail because I went into it not knowing much.

Their story definitely gets dark, so please again check the trigger warnings. Overall, this could easily become one of my all-time favorite series. Definitely diving into book 2 because even though this broke my heart, I need more of these characters.

3.5
My ra gave me this book. Took me sooo long to read cause of classes but it was pretty good. More on the dark romance side but not super dark but still pretty good. Lots of heavy topics so if you are triggered easily don’t recommend reading but I liked it, might read the second

4.5⭐️

She felt nothing and he felt everything❤️

Beautiful love story (only insta love book I’ve ever enjoyed) Docking 0.5 because it was a tiny bit repetitive but I was hooked from the jump
