Unfortunately, horribly disappointing. It started with son much promise. Interesting side characters, mysterious illness, complex mother-daughter dynamic and a gorgeous landscape. The plot quickly became confusing and ambiguous with the characters having none sense conversations in, what I deem, an attempt to be deep, philosophical and edgy. It all fell flat. The ending was frustrating and disappointing and I was happy to have finished it. I would not recommend this book.
