Oh Gavin Blake!!! I think I have a new favorite book boyfriend! Can you say hot??? I loved this book. I stayed up way to late last night finishing it and was crushed at the way it ended! I am going to be on pins and needles waiting for the second book to come out!

OMG this book and I seriously have a love and hate relationship, right now I am in love with it! But I can tell you that I hated it several times over!!

Oh my Gavin, where do I start! Tall, dark and fuckable is the most accurate description that comes to mind! He is a sweet, charming, caring, SMOKIN' HOT, wiseass! His every word will melt your heart and your panties!

“I want it all, Emily. I want to spend my nights holding hands with you,” he breathed the words into her ear. “I want the all-day texting.” He kissed her temple and caressed her cheek. “I want the laughing and the forehead kisses.” He softly ran his lips over her forehead. “I want the date nights, the movie watching, and the breakfast making.” He dragged his hands through her hair, his teeth tugging gently at her bottom lip. “I want the late-night drives, the sunset watching, the screaming, the yelling, and the crying.” Still kissing her, he smiled against her mouth. “I know I’ll definitely want the make up sex that comes after the screaming and the crying. In want the good, the bad and the in between. All of it is what's going to make us amazing together."

See what I mean - SWOON!!!!

Then you come to the bane of my frustration - Dillion and Emily. Dillion is a dirty bastard disguised as a good guy! He is one of those guys you think you like until you peel back the layers and you see what an ass really looks like. Don't be fooled by him people! Emily - Wow this girl will make you want to throw your Kindle at the wall! But don't, you will learn why she is the way she is, but until then hold on to your Kindle because it's going to be a bumpy ride!

“I want you to give in to what I see behind your eyes every time I’m near you. I want you to give in to the way you trembled in my arms when I touched you… the way your breathing becomes faster when I look at you. I loved the way your lips felt against mine, and I’m pretty sure you did, too. I also enjoy the way I can almost feel you becoming wet for me right now. Are you going to pretend that you don’t feel anything for me, Emily?”

This book kept me wanting more with every chapter. I couldn't put it down, don't get me wrong this was one of those books where you want to just throw in the towel but I forged ahead because I had to know what happened next! I've had this book on my Kindle for awhile but wanted to wait to read it until book two was out and boy am I glad I did! This book can't be read alone you must have Pulse (book 2) ready to go!

"You don't hate me. You love me. And Jesus Christ, Emily, I love you with everything inside of me, with everything I am, with everything I'll ever be."

4 angst filled stars!

The only things I remember about this book are what I dislike about it. Other than that, it's not very memorable.

Holy hell, that was amazing. Thanks for the recommendation Shannon!
Assumptions, lies, guilt, and betrayal shape Collide into the perfect emotion evoking masterpiece! Poor Emily, her head is so twisted. Not only has she recently lost her mother, but she feels indebted to her current (douchebag) boyfriend for all that he's done for her.
Gavin is the epitome of perfection. Hot, rich, down to earth, and trying desperately to get rid of his feelings for his friend's girlfriend.

***Spoilers***
Just when you think they have finally made it, that they will finally get their HEA.. bam the ex makes her play, forever changing what could have been. Luckily Emily finally pulls her head out of her ass at the end and decides to go after him. After all of the heartbreak, the emotional roller coaster the two of them have been on, we have to wait for book two to find out how it ends.

Listen - I love the hero-chases-heroine trope. Like, I LOVE it. I didn’t think there was a limit to how many times the hero could profess his love, be rejected by the heroine and I would still love it - but this book proved me there is!

This woman is torn between two men: one who’s controlling, abusive and practically an alcoholic - let’s call him Chad - and another who’s super hot, rich, kind, and loves her - our hero. Oh, the dilemma...

She continues to get back together with her abusive boyfriend - without any convincing motivation - and sleeps with him even after she and the hero professes their love for each other. She’s going ahead with wedding plans with Chad all because of a misunderstanding with the hero!

Like okay, you thought the hero was cheating - but that doesn’t mean you have to marry yucky Chad! Like what?

Then this continues: the hero begs her to choose him, tells her he loves her, they make out, and then she rejects him. And goes back to Chad. Super frustrating!

I was at my breaking point at the end of the book - but I finished it. Will I read the next book? Yes. But, for once, I hope the hero makes the heroine grovel a bit before smushing. Maybe more than a little bit.

Honestly, if this was real life I would tell him to drop her ass...

This book had a lot of potential. The writing is subpar and after reading the entire book, I still don’t have any idea what kind of personality anybody has besides Dillon.

The dialogue is so juvenile that it was hard to read. I’m so bored I’m not even going to finish this review.
