I assumed that since Shane Lindley was the MMC we would see a lot of hockey action. However, the book picks up during summer break so see much more of Diana Dixon’s sport cheerleading/dance. I was surprised to see some intense topics. I would recommend reading the content warnings. I loved Diana’s fierce personality and growth ARC during this book. I also enjoyed Shane and Diana’s banter and chemistry. There is alot of spicy spice in this book per usual for Elle Kennedy.
Audioreview: Corvin was a perfect Shane! He has a bit of gruff, but yet a smooth cocky vibe. Erin brought all the spunk to Diana and it was per-fect-ion! The pacing was excellent and the chapters flowed smoothly. I would recommend the audiobook for this novel.

1.5 stars rounded down. Enjoyable? Entertaining? Bit odd at times? A lot of tell don’t show. His dad dying and her being beat up by her murdwrous ex boyfriend in literally the last 5 chapters was insane business and NOWHERE NEAR explained and concluded enough. Who the fuck approved that. Did not enjoy the way they handled the abuse and harassment of the ex bf nor the grief???? Like im in shock. Im confused? I also didn’t read any other books of this author beforehand and omfg dog i dont know ANYYYYYYYY of these characters. Idk if some of these men are their dads or like older friends or whatever but it was shit to keep track of so i just smiled and nodded..

I didnt love this one as much as the first one. Some cringy things happened and I didn't love the male narrator. I don't think I will be continuing this series.
