Now I know why this book so famous. Well yeah, this book is good. So entertaining.
So many richy-vocabulary brands and names that I actually don't know and make me must search in Google. For real.
I do love how Nicky is. He just so human. Well what you expected from born-rich-boy.
I do love Rachel as much as I love Nicky. I like how she put herself. But then I kinda disappointed with her in the end because what she think about her mother.
Actually I love all the characters in this book. Even the bad characters. Actually they not bad, they just being them.Especially Eddie, LOL don't know why I always laugh when reading about him. He just so funny about himself being the number one. The funniest part about him is when he scream that he is the best friend of Colin not Alistair. Hahaha even now I still laughing.
Still so many things unfinished in the book, so here I am, ready to read the second book!!!

I watched the movie first but still really liked the book. I enjoyed how it went deeper into Peranakan culture and backstories

2nd read-through: still a great book! I giggled in places and darn near cried in others.

You have to be in the mood for this: I think I tried reading it once and put it down after a couple chapters. Then, I go on vacation and pick it up -- I devoured it in 3 nights! I think the difference is I started watching K-dramas--if you like asian TV serials, you'll like this!

It's escapist, extravagant, bizarre! I'm going to ration out the other books over my summer. I couldn't stop thinking about "Crazy Rich Asians" during the day while I was in between reading sessions, and I haven't stopped since I finished!

The movie was WAYYY better!! Eleanor in the movie carried herself with poise and sophistication; the Eleanor in this book was messy. The movie had a follow to the story, but the book was all over the place, with too much information.
