You jump straight into a magical academy and it keeps you reeled in from start to finish. The main characters balance each other's personalities. Excited to finish the series.

I liked this more than I was expecting to. I got sucked in super fast because we just started going a mile a minute at the start and I enjoyed that. I think there was a series set in the same world that I could have read first, Claire?? But so far I haven’t missed too much. I may go back and read that one depending on how much I enjoy this series.

My only issue is that I know this is a RH but I only like Shade. Definitely do not like Kols, I’m not even sure why I just don’t care for him. Zeph is ok, kind of medium for me right now. Hopefully the future books will boost my opinions of those guys. For now I’ll just be team Shade.

If you like fae that are also vampires but the blood drinking ones have dull teeth while those who refuse to drink blood develop fangs, then this one is for you!

Somehow charming, and decent enough to waste a few hours reading this plot hole-filled book.
