From the very first page of this book I thought the writing was breathtakingly beautiful. My opinion on this never wavered as the author used such powerful imagery and expression of emotion.. I was very thrown off by the incest and the language around the relationship did not let that dynamic fall to be forgotten.

I have no idea what to rate this. It would definitely be a 4.5 if there wasn't an incest involved. I know it's acceptable in some cultures (though I'm not sure this is the case), but I don't see how it would add anything to the plot. It would have been so much better if they were childhood friends to lovers instead of cousins
