Bisexual pastry chef. Nonbinary kitchen manager. Aspirational cooking magazine/digital content. Homophobic and transphobic workplace. Workplace bullying. Allies. Unrequited love being requited. Happy ending.

An enjoyable read, notwithstanding the fact that it addresses some difficult topics. I like the fact that there are so many allies for Ray at TDC (it may not be realistic, but it made me happy).

Super sweet foodie hallmark romance with great representation. I really enjoyed the character growth, dynamic and side characters while also tackling hard topics (check TW).

I went into this looking for a cute, fun, romcom style book with a foodie twist - and it delivered!

It was refreshing to see a non-binary main character, and I loved the banter, and the foodie twist to the story. It was a lot of fun, and I am excited to read the next book in the series.

*Gifted from Netgalley/Atria Books, thank you!

Loved Ray/Simone/the rest of the filming crew and I'd round up to 3.5 stars.

DID NOT FINISH: 20%

The writing is meh and the characters were not believable. There is no 28 year old that has that little experience with technology and still has friends and a good job that doesn’t require technology. Also there is no magazine that hasn’t had an online presence for at least 10 years.
