Thank you St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the eARC of Off The Map! All opinions in this review are my own.
Despite being a shorter read, Off The Map is able to pack in a lot of emotions. While Carla does make some questionable decisions at times, it was really fun to travel around Ireland with her and Eamon. Off The Map does take a very heavy turn in the second and gets very emotional. Based on the beginning, I wasn't expecting it but it did make me like the book even more. I just wish the ending wasn't so rushed. This book is less than 300 pages and the events at the end could have been spaced out a little farther.
I've only read two out of the three Beck Sister novels but I have really enjoyed this series! I still need to read the first one but I'm sad to see it end!

I started this book a while ago and just could not get into it. The beginning felt like a complete smut overload with very little plot line, but that did completely turn around about 35-40% in. After that, I really liked it! It was a true story of family, friendship, and love. Carla is avoiding anything having to do with feelings including her newfound FWB Eamon and her dementia ridden father Biggie. If I just read
The last 60% of the book, it would probably be a 4 or 4.25 rated book. The beginning threw me a bit but overall, it was a good, entertaining and heartfelt read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 3.5 stars rounded up.
Thanks for NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for this ARC.

I had high hopes for this book and it did NOT disappoint! It was everything I wanted and more.
Carla Black is a bartender who works part of the year and the travels the remainder of the year. She is full of wanderlust and that way she is fulfilled by being able to travel to her hearts content. She currently finds herself in Ireland for her best friend's wedding and she is meeting up with the best man in Dublin to make the trek to Tralee where the wedding will take place.
Eamon Sullivan loves travel as well, but makes his living my creating digital maps for travel, not because he gets to travel much himself. He's not entirely happy with where his life is at right now, having just gotten out of a relationship, he's not loving his work like he used to and he's finding that his road trip with Carla, the maid of honor, might be happening right on time.
The chemistry between Carla and Eamon is immediate. When they realize they both like the adventure of travel, Carla talks him into taking some detours on the way to the wedding. These detours could change the trajectory of their lives and they may not even realize it. Will they allow it to happen?
This was an enjoyable adventure with two very likable characters. I enjoyed the trip we got to take across Ireland as well. If you haven't read the first two books in the series, this can be read as a standalone without issue, but it's a great series, so I do recommend reading the whole thing.
I received an advance copy of the book from the publisher and voluntarily left this review. #NetGalley

I consider this a romance +. It taps on grief, dementia, avoidance.
This was a NetGalley ARC. I enjoy Trish Doller's books because her main characters are adventurous, badass women who have usually encountered some kind of hardship in life and don't let that get them down. I thought the relationship between the daughter and her father with alzheimer's was treated beautifully. And while this book mentions characters from Doller's previous two novels, you don't have to have read those novels to enjoy this one.
