This seems like a TON of content warnings. However unless there's one you're specifically triggered by I want to say that the book does not feel super depressing or upsetting. Yes, the main character is working through things, but the author wrote the story in such a way that there is support, humor, and a lightness to it. The hardest part for me personally was whenmeredithamadee's review against another edition

I thought it was a great blend of serious moments and romance, making for a decently realistic romance. While I wish there were a few more romancy moments, I really liked how the book kept me on my toes waiting to find out how they would get together. The writing was a little cliché at times, but it was a very enjoyable read, and I look forward to reading other Katherine Center books!
Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Griffin, and l Katherine Center for providing me access to this book in exchange for an honest review.
