I liked this more than I remember liking the first!! I was super confused in the first half but Cassie kept me intrigued and I didn’t want to put it down? Even though not all that much was happening? Also quite enjoyed the ending twist

i actually think she expanded the world and characters beautifully in the sequel and as other reviews have also said, that last 15% will suddenly feel like a shotgun to the face in the bestttt way. my god do these characters love to suffer and i can’t believe i am waiting at clare’s beck and call for the next book (4.5/5)
I’m a sucker for some plotting and scheming. I also think this is a really good break from the shadowhunters series for Cassandra Clare even though I do love the shadowhunters
