Everyone seems to know who Asher Black is except Lucy, so that is why after going to the bathroom at a club and witnessing a crime she calls the police. Finding out after the fact she knows she has made a grave mistake and believes he is going to kill her. Loved this, I read mixed reviews but I could not put this down. I loved Lucy she is quirky and has a past that is heartbreaking. Asher oozes male dominance and alpha male behavior. Chemistry is off the charts between this couple and I look forward to reading the next book.

Angst, lust, danger, a sexy as sin man and a take no shit woman. What more could you ask for from a mafia romance? I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

I enjoyed this story. There was some writing issues and really long monologues but it’s a debut book so I think she did a brilliant job!
I’d call this a light Mafia book, don’t get be wrong there killing and guns but it’s done with morals in mind so it didn’t feel dark like my usual Mafia reads.

Asher is the best book boyfriend ever. I believe he loved Lucy from the very beginning and simply had no way to tell her. I mean he is part of the Mob and is trying to get out, right.
Lucy hasn’t had anyone to count on, ever. Then comes this man that is moving mountains for her. Omg my heart just couldn’t take it.
This is a true love story that speaks to my soft heartedness.
