This was a slower pace than my reads have been lately but I really enjoyed the banter and build up of Felicia and Cas’s relationship, though you could still qualify them as pretty insta-love.
I’ll be honest I kept waiting for a gotcha to pop out about her being a secret magical being or something bad happening but I really enjoy the way they chose to take it instead!
I think it really handled well the integration of real topics around stolen land, displacement, genocide, etc. from a magical standpoint and how they chose to try and build a resolution into their HEA.
My only critique is that they put incredible effort and value into inclusivity in the story but the term “peanut gallery” managed to stay in the character’s dialogue which always disrupts my reading flow because of its problematic origins.

This is a good, positive heartwarming romance. I really enjoyed Felicia as a strong confident female character. I appreciated that Cas wasn’t like a lot of the alpha types written about in other stories. He listens, is considerate and doesn’t like to generally use his authority.
The thing I enjoyed the most was the found family and the relationships built, not only between Felicia and Cas, but the others within the book who are supportive.
I liked the recipes at the end! After reading about all that food, who doesn’t want to attempt to make and eat the food.

Not a necessarily juicy werewolf story. Very lighthearted and fluffy with very minor conflict. While I don’t crave explicit shifter violence, this kind of read like fanfic—fluffy, a lot of thoughts from main characters, some stakes, not a very complex story. Makes a good (slightly spicy) palate cleanser between more intense stories

I loved this cute book! The heroine, Felicia, was smart and caring. Castiel was a great leader who was strong but caring. All of the characters wove into a great community! Sweet rromance - pun intended!
