It was okay. I read it because I was wanting a book like this Instagram post I saw where it was like marriage of convenience

I can’t stand with authors do duel POV then write two different chapters to see both POV. We already lived this I don’t want to read it again in his view now.
If this was 250 pages I wouldn’t have hated it so much.
The story is alll over the place. The whole plot is the arrangement marriage, there has been a lot of mini fires (plots) but the main storyline is just their relationship. I mean okay but day to day relationships are boring which is why the author ends up skipping ahead two - three days at a time.
Character development is eh. Apollo has a past but we get a glimpse of it through scars and people trying to kill him. It’s said that he’s scary but is he? We get to see it on paper once (so far only 48% in) and I really just want to see him be bad or mean. I didn’t even like Eliana but to be fair I didn’t like any of the characters. Also there were wayy too many characters with similar names. We had a Emma and Emily.
I thought the big conflict was done yet there is 20% of the book left and it’s fluff.
I legit forced myself to finish but I stopped reading at 75%.
